Overview
Our objective was to design a more engaging and trustworthy experience for property buyers and agents as Spec scaled globally. The goal was to evolve its platform beyond static listings by creating a unified property experience where verified data and usability build trust and engagement.
Early research revealed a lack of trust in the industry, often caused by misleading or incomplete listings. This insight shaped the design direction, highlighting the value of Spec’s verified floor plans and realistic imagery. We identified two key user types and uncovered low expectations for online listings, guiding refinements that helped strengthen Spec’s product–market fit and credibility.

I oversaw the redesign of Spec’s property experience and analytics dashboard, guiding the project from discovery to delivery. I conducted user interviews to define personas and surface key pain points, ran workshops with sales and marketing to align priorities, and developed prototypes that balanced business goals with user needs.
Working closely with engineers, I ensured technical feasibility while maintaining design integrity across iterations. Through continuous testing and refinement, the final product delivered a cleaner, more transparent experience that built trust with users and strengthened Spec’s position as a leader in property marketing.
